Our limitless roster features top collegiate coaches from across the country, bringing their expertise, passion, and authentic insight directly to our dancers. These educators represent the highest levels of spirit programs and are here to inspire a mentor and elevate every athlete who walks into our room. Coach lineup is specifically and very carefully chosen; in future events, our rosters will widen!
Carol Lloyd
University of Memphis Head Coach
Carol has dedicated over 35 years to coaching at various competitive levels, showcasing her extensive knowledge and passion for dance and cheerleading. A proud graduate of the University of Memphis, she was not only a four-year member but also captain of the Memphis Pom squad, where she honed her leadership skills and competitive spirit.
Currently, Carol is in her 13th season as the Spirit Coordinator at the University of Memphis, where she continues to inspire and develop student athletes. Her impressive coaching journey includes 16 years as the Dance Director of Memphis Elite All Stars, during which she led the team to an astounding 60+ titles, establishing a legacy of excellence.
From 2004 to 2013, she coached the University of Memphis All Girl Cheer Team, achieving remarkable success with two national titles and consistently maintaining a top 5 placement nationally. As the head coach of the University of Memphis Pom & Ambush Crew, now in her 22nd year, Carol has guided the team to reach 16 national championships, further solidifying her reputation as a leader in the field.
In addition to her college coaching roles, Carol serves as the head dance coach for Collierville High School, entering her 14th season, and has spent 23 seasons as the head coach for the Collierville Middle School team. Under her guidance, the Collierville School District has celebrated an impressive 32 national titles, reflecting her commitment to fostering talent and teamwork at all levels.
Most recently, Carol took on the role of Head Coach for the UFL Memphis Showboats Cheerleaders and Hype Crew during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, further showcasing her versatility and leadership within the realm of competitive cheerleading.
Carol’s extensive experience, combined with her unwavering dedication to her teams, has made her a respected figure in the dance community, inspiring countless athletes to reach their full potential.
Franco Paraiso
University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Assistant Coach
Franco Paraiso is a professional independent choreographer and dance teacher from Las Vegas, NV.
In the past 9 seasons with the UNLV Rebel Girls & Company, he has won 5 D1A Hip Hop UDA National Championships, 7 D1A Game Day UDA National Championships, and 3 Premier Hip Hop ICU World Championships.
As a hip hop and game day choreographer, he has claimed top 3 finishes at NDTC with St. Joseph’s Academy and Bearden High School, and a DTU National Championship with Miami Arts.
If he is not teaching a class, or filming his next project, you can probably find him dancing in the kitchen with his wife and dog.
Courtney Dang
University of Cincinnati Head Coach
Courtney Dang, originally from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, attended the University of Cincinnati where she studied Information Technology. Dang danced for five years and served as captain for two of those seasons. While at UC, she earned three D1A hip hop national championships and five world championships representing the U.S. National Team.
Courtney Dang has been consulting the University of Cincinnati's national routines since 2016 along with local studios and high school and college dance teams. She's also won an innovative choreography award and first place finish at the 2022 NDA High School Nationals in the Medium Varsity Game Day division.
After graduation, she coached a local high school team. She spent six years coaching at several Cincinnati‑area high schools including Anderson, Turpin, and Kings where she developed athletes, elevated program standards, and contributed to competitive success. She choreographed and coached the routine that secured Kings High School’s first‑ever national championship, winning the 2022 NDA Nationals Medium Game Day title. She become an assistant coach for the University of Cincinnati Dance Team. In 2024, she took on the role of head coach, continuing to inspire and connect with dancers across the country. As a former University of Cincinnati athlete, Dang is a three‑time D1A Hip Hop National Champion (2014, 2015, 2017). She's earned five World Championships in Pom and Hip Hop as a member of the U.S. National Team (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016). Recently with the University of Cincinnati Dance Team, they earned 4th place in both D1A Pom and D1A Game Day, and 3rd place in D1A Hip Hop. The program has also been selected to represent the United States as the U.S. National Team for Hip Hop this April.
Sydney Schriver
University of Tennessee Assistant Coach
Sydney is a dedicated dance coach, choreographer, and instructor based in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, where she danced for four years, and is now a part of the coaching staff. She is also the assistant coach for the Bearden high school dance team. In addition to coaching, she choreographs and consults for multiple studios, colleges, and high school dance teams. With eight years of experience working for UDA, she continues to share her expertise with dancers across the country. Locally, she teaches at a dance studio, where she inspires and trains the next generation of performers. She is excited to share her passion for dance and commitment to excellence with you all soon!
Meaghan Porter
Michigan State University Head Coach
Meaghan Porter is in her third season as Head Coach of the Michigan State University (MSU) Dance Team. Prior to Michigan State, she coached at the high school level for 11 years. Nine of those years were spent as the Head Coach of the Walled Lake Northern (WLN) Varsity Dance Team. While at WLN, her team competed at the national level and consistently earned top ranks, including a National Championship in 2023. Meaghan grew up competitively in the dance studio world. She began teaching in studios while in high school and has taught various styles to students of all ages.
Meaghan graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations. Following graduation she worked in the marketing and communications world for 12 years, mainly in automotive manufacturing specializing in external branding and events. She currently lives near MSU campus with her husband Steve and their two goldendoodles Griffin and Lucy.
Darah Haidet, (“Aspiring Athlete” Class)
Louisiana State University (LSU) Alumni
Originally from Hammond, Louisiana, I began my dance training at the age of two at Main Street Dance. In high school, I was a member of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Starlettes dance team, where we were nationally ranked all four years. I served as captain for two years, and during my senior year, our team medaled in Small Varsity Hip Hop and Game Day.
After graduating, I attended Louisiana State University, where I was a proud LSU Tiger Girl for four years. I graduated with my degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Kinesiology. While on the team, I had the honor of serving as captain during both my junior and senior years. During my time with the Tiger Girls, our team won the 2022 and 2024 D1A Hip Hop National Championships with our viral routines, “Like A Boy” and a Michael Jackson tribute to “Smooth Criminal.”
For the past five years, I have worked with Universal Dance Association, teaching, judging, and modeling for Varsity Spirit. I have also taught and choreographed for numerous dance teams and studios across Louisiana and the US. Most recently, I serve as a dance teacher and choreographer at DCJ Dance in Frisco, Texas and manage their elite competition team.
Becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader has been a lifelong dream of mine. Now in my second season with the team, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside artists such as Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, and Post Malone, while representing one of the most iconic brands in professional cheer and dance.
